Herman Miller will be presenting ‘The Art and Science of Seating’ at the Milan National Design Centre, during the week of the Salone Internazionale del Mobile (17th-22nd April).
The Salone is the International Furniture Fair of Milan, and the largest and most anticipated trade fair in the world.
It is renowned as the leading show for new products by furniture manufacturers and designers.
Held at Rho Fairgrounds in Milan, the event comprises of an exhibition, and a series of showroom events and parties in the city itself, known as the ‘Fuori Salone’.
Our Milan space will feature an innovation display which focuses on the evolution of Herman Miller seating,
and exemplifies our philosophy – human centered design and problem solving solutions.
Materials innovation and design artefacts will be showcased, providing an insight into the concepts and processes employed to develop the Eames Plywood chair,
Ergon, Aeron, Mirra, Setu, Embody and SAYL. The display will be supported by unique video footage and early design drawings and sketches from Herman Miller’s archives.
In addition, the space will be refreshed and updated with new graphics and product settings.
The Milan National Design Centre will be open from 9am to 10.30pm, Tuesday to Saturday, and from 10am to 6pm on Sunday.
